2 Accidents Cause Delays on W.Va. Turnpike

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two accidents caused traffic delays on the West Virginia Turnpike Wednesday.

The accidents were reported just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of I-77 near Sharon.

Emergency crews tell WSAZ.com five vehicles and two tractor trailers were involved in the crashes.

No one was hurt, but one northbound is closed in the area. The southbound lanes are not affected by the crash.

No other information is being released at this time.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two separate accidents are causing problems along the West Virginia Turnpike.

The accidents were reported just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of I-77 near Sharon.

Dispatchers say up to eight vehicles and two tractor trailers are involved and all but one northbound lane is closed. The southbound lanes are not affected by the crash.

No word on any injuries.

Dispatchers urge drivers to avoid the area.
