CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A new compressed natural gas fueling station is set to open in Charleston this week.

An IGS CNG service station is having a grand opening Tuesday, January 28, at 10:00 a.m.

The new station is located on Spring Street next to the Bigley Avenue Foodland.

The station will service the growing number of West Virginia businesses and residents who are converting to natural gas vehicles (NGVs) as a way to save money and use a clean, West Virginia fuel.

This will make the second CNG fueling station to be constructed by IGS CNG Services in West Virginia. The other two stations are located in Bridgeport and Jane Lew.

Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, Kanawha County commissioner Kent Carper and the business community will be celebrating the grand opening.
