SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The rebuilding of the pool at Camp Virgil Tate was front and center during discussion Tuesday night.
West Virginia University Extension Service Agent Kerri Wade was at the Sissonville Lions Club during the meeting.
She talked about the plans for revitalizing Camp Virgil Tate. They include plans for an archery range and bringing in more tourism. One way that will happen is with the new pool, which will be paid for mostly by timbering that will happen there.
"We have gotten approval, the Division of Forestry is doing our forestry plan, so we are going to do some selective logging to clean up our forest and make sure it's in good shape," Wade said. "And the boundaries have to be surveyed to make sure we are on our property completely."
Wade said the pool is set to be complete in about a year.
