Person Hospitalized Following Car Wreck in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person was taken to the hospital following an early morning car wreck.

It happened about 6:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of 36th Street and Maccorkle Avenue.

Police say a driver of a car was trying to turn left onto 36th Street when it was hit by a second car going in the other direction on Maccorkle Avenue. The driver of the car attempting to turn was taken to the hospital with what are described as minor injuries.
