UPDATE: Bond Reduction Denied for Charleston Shooting Suspect

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A reduction in bond has been denied for a man charged in a shooting in Charleston.

The shooting happened on Berkeley Street in November.

Investigators say Dana Stevenson, 23, fired 10 shots into a car. One of the bullets struck a man in the leg.

Monday, Stevenson was in court in Kanawha County, asking for a bond reduction. The judge denied the request.

Investigators say the shooting happened during a robbery attempt.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An arrest has been made after a shooting that happened on Charleston's West Side Thursday.

The shooting happened on Berkeley Street about 2 p.m.

Charleston Police say the victim ran to a house in the 300-block of Monongalia Street to call for help.

The victim, whose name has not been released, says the shooting happened when Dana Stevenson tried to rob him.

The victim was shot in the leg.

Police took Stevenson into custody a short time later.

Stevenson has been charged with robbery and wanton endangerment in connection with today's incident.

Police say he was also arraigned Thursday afternoon on three counts of wanton endangerment in connection with a shooting that happened near the Save-A-Lot on the west side on Saturday.

No word on the victim's condition.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been taken into custody following a shooting on Charleston's West Side.

Police say a man was shot in the leg, then he ran to a house in the 300-block of Monongalia Street to call for help.

His name and condition have not been released.

A person has been taken into custody. Police say he ran from detectives when they tried to question him. When they caught up with him he was armed.

It is still unclear if how he is connected to the case.
