UPDATE 4/10/14 @ 11:15 p.m.
PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in Putnam County.

It happened on Woods Drive near St. Albans Wednesday night just before 7 p.m.

"Sounded like 10 to 12 shots, real fast, like bam, bam, bam, bam, bam," said neighbor Gary Jordan.

Deputies tell WSAZ.com that Roger Gore was shot in the neck and arm. He is in stable condition at the hospital.

Deputies say William Larck was displeased after a telephone conversation with his mother and drove his car into her home.

"He rammed the house in an area that, according to him, he expected them to be sitting," said Lt. Ryan Lockhart with the Putnam County Sheriffs Department.

Once inside, Lockhart says Larck started firing rounds at his uncle, girlfriend, and mother.

"He intended for all of his family to meet with his father in heaven or another after life location," said Lt. Lockhart.

Police caught up with Larck a short time later along Strawberry Road.

He has been charged with attempted homicide.

WSAZ reached out to the Larck family, which declined to comment.
