UPDATE: Roads Reopen after Police Investigation on Charleston's East End

UPDATE @ 11:15 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- According to WV MetroNews, Charleston police took a man away from a Washington Street East residence in handcuffs late Thursday night after a brief standoff.

Reports indicate the man was threatening suicide. He was taken from the scene at shortly before 10:30 p.m.

Officers blocked off the street near CAMC General. There were no injuries.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police have reopened roads near CAMC General Hospital after an investigation.

According to Metro 911, the 1200 block of Washington Street East and the 300 Block of Morris Street were closed before 10 p.m. Thursday. The areas were taped off and people were asked to stay back, according to our crew at the scene.

No other information is being released at this time.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A police investigation on Charleston's East End has shut down roads near CAMC General Hospital.

According to Metro 911, the 1200 block of Washington Street East and the 300 Block of Morris Street are closed until further notice.
