UPDATE 9/24/12 @ 12:15 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New details are being released about a violent robbery at an ATM in Charleston.
Police say they have found the car stolen from an elderly man who was the victim of an attempted robbery and beating last week.
Monday afternoon, the car was found on Madison Street.
The two men shown in the pictures above are persons of interest in the case, according to police.
The elderly man was using an ATM on Virginia Street when the pair allegedly came up and tried to use his card. It didn't work, so they took him to another ATM -- which also didn't work.
At that point, the men allegedly beat him and stole his car.
Police say they need the community's help to crack this case.
The victim had to go to the hospital for injuries from the attack, but he is expected to recover.
If you know anything about the case you are asked to call the Charleston Police Department.
Detectives released surveillance pictures of the men Friday afternoon.
They say two men approached the victim at the Chase Bank just after midnight Thursday while he was trying to withdraw money from the ATM. One of them was carrying a gun. They attempted to use his card to withdraw cash but were unsuccessful.
Police say they then kidnapped the 65-year-old victim and drove him to another ATM on the West Side, but they couldn't get any money there either. That's when detectives say they got angry and started beating the victim.
The victim was taken to the hospital with lacerations to the eye but is now in stable condition.
Police say the suspects got away with his car , a 2011 silver Honda Accord. It has the registration 9UC 363.
