Robbery Reported in Sissonville, 3 Arrests Made

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Three people are charged in a "home invasion" style robbery in Sissonville.

The alleged crime was reported about 9:30 a.m. at a home along Route 1.

According to a news release, the victim Noel Shamblin, 75, of Sissonville, says a female knocked on his door and when he answered it two men wearing ski masks, forced their way in to his home.

One of the men did show a knife and the other grabbed Shamblin. The men got away with Shamblin's wallet with approximately $200.

Shamblin was able to give good descriptions of the suspects and deputies later caught up with them at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Florida Street in Charleston.

Katherine Anne Yeager, 22, of Charleston, David Allen Chamberlain, 21, of Charleston, and James Andrew Branham, 26, of Charleston were all arrested and charged with robbery.

The victim knew at least one of the suspects.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a robbery call in Sissonville Thursday.

The alleged robbery was reported about 9:30 a.m. at a home along Kanawha Two Mile Road.

Kanawha County 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the two people came to the victim's home, showed a knife and stole his wallet. The two people then ran from the home.

The victim knew the two people, according to dispatchers.

No word on any arrests.
