UPDATE: Man Arrested in Charleston Armed Robbery

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was arrested Wednesday in an armed robbery that happened Monday night at the Foodland gas station in Charleston, police say.

Yul Carter, 55, who's also know as "Scamp" was arrested at a home in Charleston.

Police said Carter robbed the Foodland gas station clerk at gunpoint and walked out with the cash register. It happened about 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Carter has a criminal history, including violating his supervised federal release program. He was taken to the South Central Regional Jail and as being held without bond.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are looking for a suspect after an armed robbery Monday night in Charleston.

It happened about 9:20 p.m. Monday at the Foodland gas station along Spring Street.

Security video shows the suspect wearing a blue hat and grayish shirt walk in holding a revolver style pistol.

The suspect gave the clerk a Go-Mart shopping bag and demanded he put the whole cash drawer in the bag, police say.

The clerk does so, and the suspect walks out with the cash drawer and takes off on foot.

Police are hoping they'll get tips from someone who knows who this man is.

Foodland officials are offering a cash reward for anyone willing to identify the man.
