UPDATE: Semi Gets Stuck; Road Reopens

UPDATE 5/2/13 @ 9:30 a.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A road in Charleston is back open to traffic after a semi got stuck early Thursday morning.

The tractor trailer got stuck just before 8 a.m. on Bendview Drive.

The driver told police he was trying to go to the landfill on South Park Road when he got lost. The directions he had took him up Bendview Drive where his rig didn't have enough power to get up the hill, causing it to get stuck.

Police tried to help the driver back down the hill, but the truck had to be towed.

The road was closed for nearly two hours until the truck could be moved.
