Smoke Scare at Charleston Apartment Building

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An apartment building in Charleston had to be evacuated after a smoke scare.

Charleston firefighters believe a homeless woman went into the Mount Vernon apartments on Quarrier Street and starting burning newspapers Tuesday.

No injuries were reported.

No word on the extent of damage or if any charges will be filed against the woman.
