CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- WSAZ.com is learning more about how much the special prosecutors overseeing domestic battery and violence cases is costing Kanawha County.

County Manager Jennifer Sayre tells WSAZ.com Don Morris, who is the chief special prosecutor, is making $200 an hour.

The other special prosecutors, Rocky Holmes, Adam Petry and Amy Bird will continue to get their normal county salary.

They will handle cases involving domestic violence, battery and DVP violations. This comes after Prosecuting Attorney Mark Plants and his entire office was disqualified from working on those cases earlier this month.

Plants was charged with domestic battery. He's accused of using excessive force while spanking his son.

Plants is also facing a misdemeanor charge for violating a domestic violence petition filed by his ex-wife.
