ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman threatening suicide walked into a pawn shop to buy a gun and then led police on a chase.

St. Albans Police tell WSAZ.com they got a call from Dean's Pawn Shop on Route 60 Saturday afternoon.

Officers say the clerk refused to sell her a gun but she tried to jump the counter to grab one anyway.

Workers forced her out of the store and she drove off.

Police spotter her car at another gun store and then she led officers on a chase down a dead end street, according to a press release.

Officers say the woman refused to get out of the car. They had to use a tazer on her.

The woman's husband told police she lost her job and wasn't taking her medication.
