KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man on home confinement for a prior meth charge is wanted on additional meth-related charges, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Shane Steven Thaxton, 36, was not home at the time when deputies arrived Tuesday night at his mobile in the 1700 block of Pine Valley Drive. Deputies had information about possible meth activity at the mobile home and obtained a search warrant.
Another man, Jamie Lee Harmon, 34, of Sissonville, was arrested at the mobile home and charged with attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab. He was taken to the South Central Regional Jail; his bond was set at $25,000.
Deputies say Thaxton, who was still on the run Wednesday night, had been convicted and serving home confinement for attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab.
Additional charges against Thaxton are possible. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call (304) 357-0169.
