CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The deadline to get registered for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is approaching
and state officials say many people who need to get signed up still haven't done it.
Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is the only insurance company offering coverage plans in West Virginia through the Federal Exchange says enrollment numbers are 25 percent below projections.
Leaders there believe the problem could be because of the glitches with the ACA Website when it was first rolled out.
The number, as the deadline approaches, is slowly growing.
If you need help signing up there are a couple of chances in the next month or so .
Highland Hospital will hold an open enrollment session tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its offices in the Kanawha City area of Charleston.
Saturday March 22nd & March 29th sessions will be held at the Charleston Town Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The deadline to apply is March 31st.
