UPDATE 12/4/13 @ 6 p.m.
DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police say the driver of a truck led them on a chase that ended when he crashed into a row of parked cars.
It happened about 3 a.m. Wednesday on Roxalana Road outside the Roxalana Hills Apartment Complex.
Police say the driver veered off of the road and hit several cars parked at the complex. He was thrown from the vehicle and is now recovering in the hospital.
Maggie Martinez lives in the apartments and was awakened by the crash.
"My husband and I heard this loud boom and we thought it was lightning," she said. "We looked out our window and some guy was driving like a madman."
Skyler Cohen also witnessed the crash and says the truck landed on top of his fiancee's car.
"There's all kind of debris everywhere," he said.
Cohen says he's frustrated on his fiancee's behalf, but says he parked his own car away from the road for a reason.
"I'm always cautious about stuff like this happening," he said. "I think ahead."
Police haven't released the driver's name yet. They say he was driving under a revoked license for a previous DUI.
