KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Traffic along Corridor G was slow moving Monday after a trash truck caught on fire.
Charleston Police tell WSAZ.com a Republic Waste Services truck was traveling north on Corridor G, just past the Oakwood exit, when a piece of a cardboard box somehow got on the exhaust system. The cardboard caught on fire so the crew dumped the truck's load on the side of the road.
Firefighters responded and worked to put out the fire.
One northbound lane was closed during the clean up.
