EAST BANK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two firefighters are back home after they were overcome by heat while battling a house fire.
Officials tell WSAZ.com, One firefighter was from Pratt, the other from East Bank.
They were checked out at the hospital and then sent home.
The fire started just before 11:00 p.m. Sunday on Williams Street in East Bank.
Investigators say the home was vacant, but power was still hooked up to it.
The fire started in the basement.
Investigators are considering it suspicious.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two firefighters battling a blaze in East Bank were taken to the hospital as a result of heat, according to Metro 911.
The fire started just before 11 p.m. Sunday night in the 100 block of Williams St. in East Bank. The firefighters were taken to the hospital at 12:30 Monday morning for precautionary reasons because of heat.
Firefighters remained on scene early Monday morning. There were no other reported injuries, according to Metro 911 dispatchers.
