Two Killed in Crash on Corridor G; Names Released

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An elderly couple was killed in a car crash Sunday night in Kanawha County.

South Charleston Police say Walter Means was pulling onto Corridor G from WIlliow Road when his vehicle was hit by a car driven by Phillip Frye.

Means, 78, and his wife Charlotte, 76, both died on the scene.

Frye and his 8-year-old son were taken to CAMC but are expected to be OK.

Investigators say Frye just didn't have time to stop.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a double fatal accident in South Charleston.

It happened about 7:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 119 and Childress Road.

South Charleston Police say two people died in the crash and two others have been taken to the hospital.

No word yet what caused the accident.

WSAZ has a reporter at the scene.
