NEW INFO: Drugs Found in Crashed Car in South Charleston

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) --
Two women had to be taken to the hospital following an early morning wreck Monday in South Charleston.

It happened about 5 a.m. near the BP gas station in the Spring Hill area of town.

Police say the driver lost control, went off the road and crashed into a pole.

Two women were hurt and taken to the hospital, their names and condtions have not been released.

Police tell WSAZ.com they found marijuana in the SUV. Police say they aren't sure who the drugs belonged to or if it caused the crash.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two women had to be taken to the hospital following an early morning wreck Monday in South Charleston.

Dispatchers say an SUV crashed in the 5700 block of Maccorkle Ave. The slow lane remains closed while police work to clear the scene.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation. The names and conditions of the women have not been released.
