Two Charged in Kanawha County Meth Bust

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people are in jail after a meth bust in Eastern Kanawha County.

State Police tell they went to a home on Kanawha Avenue in the Diamond area about 6:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving a tip about drug activity.

Troopers say when they searched an outbuilding at the home, they found Melvin Butcher and Amanda Fassnacht making a shake-and-bake style meth lab.

Butcher and Fassnacht have both been charged with conspiracy to make meth and attempting to operate a meth lab.

They are now being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
