Car Crashes Over Hill and Lands Near Home, Route 60 Reopens

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A driver was taken to the hospital after she flipped her car and then hit a house.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say Rhonda Livesay, 56, of Boomer, was driving west on Route 60 when she fell asleep. During the incident, her car ran off of the road and over the embankment, striking the porch of a house on East Dupont Avenue.

Livesay was taken to CAMC General with minor injuries.

Nobody was home at the time of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation. No citations have been issued at this time.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- It was a close call Tuesday for a homeowner along Route 60 near Glasgow.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say a woman was heading west near Quincy Hollow when she lost control, crashed over a hill and landed right beside a home.

She had to be cut out of the car.

The woman was taken to the hospital, she is expected to be okay.

So far, deputies are not sure what caused the crash.

The eastbound lanes of Route 60 at Quincy Hollow were closed to traffic for about an hour while emergency crews were on the scene.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident where a vehicle has rolled over a hill in eastern Kanawha County.

The accident was reported just after 11 a.m. along Britt Hollow in Riverside.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation says the vehicle rolled over a hill and crashed into a house.

Kanawha County 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the driver is still trapped inside.

Right now, the eastbound lanes of Route 60 at Quincy Hollow are closed to traffic.
