BALTIMORE, Md. (WSAZ) -- A West Virginia State University Student spent the holiday weekend in jail, all because of a mistake.

Jawon Johnson, a freshman at WVSU, was pulled over in Maryland on Saturday night while he was home visiting family.

There was a warrant out for a person with the same name in connection with a burglary in Washington D.C.

According to the Baltimore Sun Times, Johnson spent three nights in jail until police were able to clear his name through finger printing.

Police say they are still looking for the suspect in the cast.
