CHARLESTON, W. Va. (WSAZ) -- Before lawmakers headed to the State Capitol they took time to pray.
This is the 32nd year for the annual Louderback Leadership Prayer Breakfast in Charleston.
Every year lawmakers say they pause to make sure they remember their faith when they make decisions.
Thomas J. Bickerton, bishop of the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church, was the keynote speaker. He's a native of West Virginia.
Bishop Bickerton urged lawmakers to remember when they pass a piece of legislation it's not only for themselves, but for others.
The breakfast has been held at Christ Church United Methodist Church for decades.
