Winter Weather Blamed for Causing Kanawha County Wrecks

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The snowfall that arrived in the Kanawha Valley early Tuesday morning is being blamed for causing at least a dozen wrecks in the region prior to the start of rush hour traffic.

Dispatchers say slick roads are believed to have played a factor in a number of crashes. Drivers throughout the entire WSAZ viewing area are urged to drive carefully as temperatures drop and slick roads begin to freeze over.
