Woman Hit by Car While Walking Dog in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman has been hit by a car in Charleston.

Metro 911 tells WSAZ.com the woman was hit while walking her dog along MacCorkle Avenue.

It happened just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Dispatchers say the victim's dog did not survive.

The accident is under investigation.
