CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- You've heard the slogan "there's an App for that," well soon there will be an App for Yeager Airport in Charleston.
This is part of a logo redesign and new website design for Yeager Airport.
The new website design was just one of the many items discussed in Wednesday's board meeting of the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority.
Cartney McCracken, a Social Media Strategist with Rainmaker Media Group, says it's important to provide the traveler with information immediately.
"No longer can companies, airports, any type of business just have a desktop website, you have to have something people can use when they're on their phone or on their iPad, you have to have both," McCracken said.
The new website has already launched. The App is expected to be release within the next few months. If you would like to visit the website, click here.
In other business, the board approved a salary of $140,000 for the Airport Director.
It was determined through a report that the average salary for airport directors at similar size airports is $135,000. The board approved the salary increase.
The board also awarded a bid for their Obstruction Removal Project. This $16 million dollar project was awarded to Trumbull Corporation and is for the removal of a hill at the approach of Runway 5.
