CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Kanawha County learned his fate Thursday after he pleaded guilty to sex abuse.
Ronald Good pleaded guilty on December 21, 2011 to first-degree sex abuse and third-degree sex abuse.
The crimes happened in St. Albans between 1980 and 1989. It was first reported in 1994, but some how the case fell through the cracks, according to the family.
The victims were Good's relative and her friend.
The victim says the incident made her grow stronger, but made her pay the price for what he did.
During Good's sentencing hearing, his attorney asked for the judge to put Good on probation -- but that motion was denied.
The judge sentenced Good to one to five years on the first-degree sex abuse charge and 90 days in jail for the third-degree sex abuse.
The judge told Good if he violates any of the the laws mandated as a sex offender, he will go back before a judge and face up to 50 years in prison on the charges.
