4-Year-Old Girl Killed in Fayette County Accident

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A four-year-old girl was killed in an accident in Fayette County.

The accident happened about 9:45 a.m. along Route 61 in the Montgomery Heights area.

According to a news release, the initial investigation found Gracie L. Naylor, 4, of Montgomery Heights, ran into traffic and was hit by an oncoming car.

Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies say Gracie was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and her child were taken to the hospital due to emotional trauma, according to the release.

No charges will be filed against the driver.

The accident remains under investigation.
