ST. ALBANS, W. Va (WSAZ) -- Two men are in jail and a third is in the hospital, after police discovered heroin in their car.
Donald Garrett was pulled over by an officer with the St. Albans Police Department for driving in the wrong direction on Washington Avenue.
According to the criminal complaint, the officer found a syringe and 21 pieces of foil inside a bag.
He opened one of the pieces foil, finding a tar like substance that tested positive for heroin.
Garrett, Dana Austin and Bryan Sirbaugh, who were passengers in the car, were taken into custody.
Sirbaugh told the officer, who was taking him to headquarters, that he had eaten two pieces of heroin.
He was checked by paramedics and taken to the hospital.
Garrett and Austin have been charged with possession with intent to deliver the heroin.
