The trial for the man some called the duct tape bandit has been postponed.
Police say that Kasey Kazee robbed Shamrock Liquors in Ashland with his head wrapped in duct tape. The robbery happened back in August.
Kazee has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Kazee was supposed to stand trial on the robbery charge on November 7, but now the trial has been delayed pending completion of a psychiatric exam.
A judge says the new trial date will likely be sometime in January.
During an earlier court appearance, Kazee’s attorney said they may ask for a change of venue due to the humor and publicity this case generated.
Kazee faces 10 to 20 years in jail if convicted.
