The Reverend Al Sharpton was scheduled to speak at Saturday's rally for torture victim Megan Williams, but he never showed.
He was on the list of speakers that the organization Black Lawyers for Justice published on its website.
According to our crews covering the rally, it was announced that Sharpton was going to speak at 2pm, but after 2:00 passed, not another word was said about Sharpton.
Stay with WSAZ.com as we look into why Sharpton didn't attend the rally & march in Charleston.

Al Sharpton only shows up if it is still national news. I agree with "So What". Dog is bigger now and he can get more publicity. I think his name is really SHARKTON.
