CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSAZ) -- A man who pleaded guilty to his involvement in a 2007 shooting in Huntington, has now been arrested and charged with shooting a man in North Carolina.
A Charlotte TV station reports that Harold R. Porter, 32, was arrested by Charlotte Police in connection with a shooting early Monday morning.
Police say Porter shot a man during a fight outside a club and then drove off. He was arrested about noon the next day.
Porter is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting serious injury. Police say more charges may be filed.
The victim had non-life threatening injuries.
Back in November 2007, Porter was charged with shooting two people in Huntington.
In May 2008, he was indicted on charges of malicious wounding, wanton endangerment in connection with the shooting.
In October 2009, Ported pleaded guilty to one count of wanton endangerment and was alter sentenced to 5 years probation.
Harold’s Porter’s younger brother, Joe, was killed in a shooting at Club Babylon in Huntington back in November 2009.
A preliminary hearing for Harold Porter was delayed Monday, after the people who said they were shot did not show up to testify.
Porter was arrested two weeks ago and charged with shooting the two people on Fourth Avenue.
Police say he also had an assault rifle. Police say one of Harold Porter's victim's is still in the hospital, and unable to testify. Back in February, charges that Harold Porter shot three other people were dismissed.
Porter’s attorney claims the shootings were in self defense. Porter is now free on bond.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Two people are in the hospital and another is in jail after a shooting in Huntington early Sunday morning.
It happened at about 3:30am Sunday on 4th Avenue between 13th & 14th Streets.
Officers say James Tubbs and Leon McReynolds were both shot and taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital. Currently they're in stable condition.
Police arrested Harold Porter in connection with the shooting.
Officers say they found an assault rifle on him when they arrested him.
Porter is being held in the Western Regional Jail.
