Firefighters are looking into what started a house fire on Brynwood Road in Mink Shoals Tuesday evening.

It happened at about 4:30pm.

Firefighters tell us the fire started in the garage and quickly spread. We're told the homeowner stayed inside and tried to put the fire out. Firefighters got him out to safety when they arrived at the scene.

No one was hurt, but the house has significant damage.

We'll keep you updated as we get more information.
