PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A couple from Grundy, Va. was killed in a crash in Pike County Monday afternoon.
The fatal accident happened Monday afternoon on U.S. 460 in the Millard area.
State Police say that when the semi entered a curve, the trailer crossed the center line hitting a minivan driven by Douglas Dotson, 57, of Grundy. His passenger, 55-year-old Dianne Dotson was also killed.

Kentucky State Police say the driver of a semi crossed the center line in a curve and struck an on-coming mini van.
Both the driver and passenger in the van were pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers have not released their names.
The highway near the accident scene was closed for several hours following the accident. It is now back open.
Kentucky State Police say the accident happened on U.S. 460 about 3 p.m. Monday.
They say the accident scene is just past Millard Middle School. All lanes of the highway are closed in this area, and will be closed for the next several hours. Drivers are urged to take an alternate route.
No other details have been released at this time.
