Two suspected robbers are still on the loose after they held up a local bank Thursday, but police hope surveillance video will help get them behind bars.
Police have their work cut out for them. Their biggest hurdle is that the two suspects covered their faces as they robbed the Huntington Federal Savings Bank.
That’s making it difficult to catch the men responsible for terrifying nearly a dozen people. For the eight workers and two customers inside the Huntington Federal Savings Bank it was a terrifying experience they'll never forget.
"That's a traumatic event for anybody. It doesn't matter who it is or what situation you're in. When somebody comes in and orders you on the floor, you know it's an act of robbery, it's a terrifying event," Huntington Police Department Detective Cass McMillion said.
Surveillance video shows the two suspects worked as a team. One climbed across the counter and back toward the money while the other took care of the customers.
No one was seriously hurt, but it appears that one suspect threw one customer to the floor and threatened the victim with a weapon-- possibly a gun.
Detective McMillion says the men could have left the scene either in a car or on foot and because the suspects wore hoods and masks, witnesses have not given good descriptions, which makes it quite a challenge for police to find the two men responsible for the robbery.
Police questioned all of the people inside the bank and also many folks in the neighborhood. Officers also walked around the area looking for any clues in this case.
Without a good description and without knowing if they had a getaway car, it's going to be a difficult investigation.

Obviously one robber's hands were visible and they're black but WSAZ is afraid to mention that. If he were white we'd sure hear that the suspect was a "white male". Political correctness is a one way street, apparently.
Great!More crime for Huntington's finest to sweep under the rug.
We as adults should know the difference between right and wrong but I have noticed the increase in robberies, car theft, and breakins. Dont you think this messed up economy has to do this increase? I know a girl that had to steal formula to feed her infant child. Nothing surprises me anymore the only thing that could shock me right about now would be seeing gas under 2 dollars.
