HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- What's on your computer's hard drive?Don't be fooled by thinking, unless you're doing something illegal, you've got nothing to worry about.
News Channel 3’s Bill Murray went to a training lab to learn how to recover data buried deep in your computer. This is information, police say, can put you at risk for identity theft.
Every time you are on the Internet, it leaves a trail—like popcorn. Everything you look at is written onto a computer.
The West Virginia State Police have their own forensic computer lab on Marshall’s campus. They say in the past 5-10 it has come a long way. Before then, it was hit or miss.
The Digital Boot Camp is being taught to representatives from local law enforcement, as well as other police agencies from out of state.
