DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Home confinement officers in Kanawha County caught up with a woman who has more than 100 outstanding warrants.

A jail inmate requested home confinement, and wanted to live at a house in Dunbar with his girlfriend.

So police went there to do background checks, and that's when they learned that Mechelle Brisendine was a wanted woman.

She was arrested and served with 94 felony warrants and 56 misdemeanor warrants. The charges range from fraudulent schemes, conspiracy and computer fraud.

Police say she was involved with a group of people who were opening fake bank accounts.

Return the favor is a punk. He hides behind a computer screen. Troopers are punks? I bet the Troopers are scared to leave their house because of people like you. Talk on. Thats all you have ever done in your life is talk. At least on here someone will pay you some attention. Is that why you hate cops because you never get attention from anywhere.

100 Outstanding Warrants and got caught. Well i suppose even a Blind Squirrell finds a nut once in a while.

I always said that our system is a joke and this is why. Justice for the criminals! 100 warrant she should make a world record. Only in west virginia can you break the law and have 100 warrants pending and no one ever notice. The fake bank accounts should have been noticed before any other crime. And how old is this girl?

100 OUTSTANDING WARRANTS....NOW THAT'S A LAUGH.....HOW CAN ONE PERSON HAVE THAT MANY WARRANTS AND NOT GO TO JAIL????

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 27, 2008 at 07:25 PM
how stupid can any one be

Posted by: JC on Mar 27, 2008 at 05:38 PM
This is one of the funniest things I have read. This girl (and her boyfriend) should be embarrassed of themselves. They give West Virginians the stereotype we have. Someone should send this to John Boy and Bill, and to Leno!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 27, 2008 at 05:01 PM
can you say duh huh?

Posted by: Anon on Mar 27, 2008 at 01:16 PM
people should not take matters like this as a joke its a serious matter. there will be prayer to this family

I'm on house arrest. I live with Bin Laden.

Oh and Isaac, Phyllis always does that.

Posted by: Debbie on Mar 27, 2008 at 09:30 AM
Well she's been a busy little thing hasn't she? Inmates be careful who you ask to go live with on confinement. LOL.

Posted by: Anon on Mar 27, 2008 at 08:46 AM
This really is a non-story. The state police obtained all of the warrants, each once charging here with a seperate instance of a crime in relation to an ongoing scheme. The investigating trooper arrested her at the time but the duty magistrate decided to arraign her on just warrant for reasons of "judicial economy" before all one hundred odd charges were sent to the grand jury. All the sheriff's office did was arrest someone that had alredy been put in the system and a diffrent judge had decided not to arraign her on all 100 odd charges.

Posted by: some1 on Mar 27, 2008 at 07:46 AM
wow why would the police not pick her up?somebody not doing their job.let our tax dollars go down the drain.it is funny but at the same time it not funny we the tax payee has to pay for this . her in jail and pay the police to ?

Posted by: chris on Mar 27, 2008 at 07:17 AM
machelle should have come to ashland .she would never be caught here.we have so many social programs and freebes she could live on whilst she perfects her trade.i dont know if the local criminal emptepenuers would welcome her or not but its probably worth a try

Posted by: jtb on Mar 27, 2008 at 06:44 AM
i bet she is already out on bond on her personal (recognise sp check)

Posted by: Ruby on Mar 27, 2008 at 12:50 AM
150 warrants...doesn't that qualify for the Guiness Book of Records, an award or something??? Almost as funny as our judge executive and chief of police being arrested for DUI. Only in KY and WV...lol.

MY DEAR MECHELLE, YOU HAVE DONE YOUR STATE PROUD, I BET ALL WEST VIRGIANS ARE PROUD TO HAVE AS ONE OF THIER OWN!!!LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Elizabeth on Mar 26, 2008 at 08:19 PM
LOL-Isaac ,too funny! 150 warrants? Good Lord only knows what she has done, that she didn't have warrant filed. Will they have one trial, or are they going to have 150 trials? Hate to be the jury for that case it would take 10 years to cover it all. As for you Mechelle, tell me this. Was this a personal goal, or were you trying to impress someone?

Posted by: LMAO on Mar 26, 2008 at 06:39 PM
Hey judge, how 'bout you just let me stay with my gf. Just don't check her out first!

Posted by: ISAAC on Mar 26, 2008 at 04:30 PM
Okay phyllis you are completely on the wrong story, go lay down for a nap-nap,get up call your DR. for more meds.& then come back to your computer! This girl knew she was breaking the law everyday, but I wonder if she knew she was wanted? Pretty stupid to volunteer your house for a state prisoner with 100 active warrants!! I really wouldn't put it apast someone to do it though!!

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 26, 2008 at 03:52 PM
If you all know this each charges is a warrant. All of the warrants might have been issued at one time rather then her building them up over a period of time. Bottom line is she might not be very bright.

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 26, 2008 at 01:27 PM
150 WARRANTS!!Why wasn't she at the top of the Most Wanted list?

Posted by: Mike on Mar 26, 2008 at 01:06 PM
She should have moved to Huntington. She would probably never have gotten caught.

Posted by: Jeff on Mar 26, 2008 at 12:11 PM
well, she'll be gone for a while....

Posted by: Phyllis on Mar 26, 2008 at 11:04 AM
SS & Medicare may be in trouble - Why do they think this is happening? If the government would crack down on these exorbitant charges from doctors, lawyers, and others that have anything to do with getting money from these accounts, there would be no problem. Another problem is the slow action in getting rural addresses in Lincoln County. These 911 calls are terrible when trying to find someone out in the sticks, if you know what I mean. Our RR 1 in W. Hamlin runs along WV 3, up Buffalo Creek, down One Mile Road, up Mud River Road, down lower Mud River Road, and the Good Lord only knows where else. Is that any way to find someone if you only have a box number and it is an emergency?

This sounds worse than Logan & Mingo Countys. She must have a lot of friends in the courthouse. You Know "THE GOOD OLD BOYS"..

Posted by: Joe on Mar 26, 2008 at 07:48 AM
Who is the stupid one here. How long has she frauded without getting jailed? Sounds to me that our law system should have caught up with her a little sooner..

Posted by: They don't get the hyped on Mar 26, 2008 at 03:46 AM
Criminal thinking again: criminals actually believe society is very slow. Read Dr. Samenow's papers on this subject. Every inmate needs to take his program if they are ever going to be released.

Posted by: JOHNNIE on Mar 26, 2008 at 01:12 AM
hahaha how stupid can u be? the judge needs to send her to have her head checked out! 100 outstanding warrants makes u wonder who is worse off her or the ones that are suppose to make sure she was in jail befor the first 99!
