Charleston's City Manager tells us the city is trying to unload some good dirt.

The City of Charleston will be selling its mulch Thursday and Friday.

City Manager David Molgaard says the prices are low at 10-dollars a small scoop or 20-dollars a large scoop. He says if you don't have a truck and want bags you can get just 1 or up to 10 garbage bags for the same price -- 10-dollars.

Molgaard says it's clean mulch made up of leaves and wood chips collected in the city last summer and fall. He says the city has already used what it needs and this is what's left over.

The compost facility is located in North Charleston off Hanna Drive. It will be open from 8am to 2pm Thursday and Friday.
