A Kanawha County man faces drug charges after troopers say they found cocaine in his car.
Last night, West Virginia State Police pulled over Jeffery Carver of Dry Branch on Route 60 near Belle after noticing his inspection sticker had expired.
Troopers say Carver as acting suspicious so they patted him down and found a straw with cocaine residue in it.
A search of his car revealed more cocaine that they say was packaged and ready to sell. Officers also found $1,300 in cash.
Carver was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine.
He was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
A spokesperson with Kanawha County Schools says Jeffrey Carver works in the county's maintenance department, but he wouldn't say if Carver's still on the job or not.
