CHARLESTON, W. Va (WSAZ)--West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin signed legislation that creates the state's first veteran's cemetery.

It will be located in Institute and funded by proceeds from the lottery.

Dow Chemical is donating about 300 acre for the site.

The cemetery should be ready in about a year.

The Governor also signed a bill allowing volunteers who drive veterans to the hospital to collect some money to cover their daily costs.

Yep: We made it and are the laughing stock of the country again, for burying our veterans in a plot donated by Dow Chemical. They said nowhere but in WV... I will agree it does sound yuckey, and I wouldn't want to be one of the grave diggers.

Just a thought to Anonymous 9:44 and Wv Citizens. You are sucked up so high on political hype that your feet aren't touching the ground and your head isn't in reality. This was given by a chemical company for a tax break. Not a very pretty or respectful sight for a real American Vet. Hello, can you hear from this fanatic world you are in? It's no wonder the working taxpayers are in this state of working poverty.

(For the comment from dude). For you to be so ungrateful for what our soldiers have done, not just for me, but also for you and all other Americans, that is just so uncalled for the comment that you put in. Our American soldiers are finely trained to fight and defend our freedom here at home and they don't deserve any disrespect from people like you. Thanks Gov. Manchin for signing that bill. Our fallen soldiers deserve something like that for the sacrifice that they have made for all of America. God bless all of our troops and all of America.

This deal probably give Dow free taxes like Brookstreet. And give the chemical company rights to use their employees for chemical test subjects. If anything happens to them now workers comp. and Brookstreet can refuse to pay for on the job injuries. Yes this is being done now with Brookstreet. I would say this state has gone to the dogs but I seen a pack of them leaving Isaban yesterday headed for the Va. state line.

Yes, a cemetary is a wonderful thing for the veterans, they risked their lives for our freedom, and not offending anyone at all, very grateful...but, think about it, what if everyone in the U.S. got buried?? This could lead to a problem wtih land space!

Somebody had better check the fine print. They always want to tack something on they want. He might have changed the Vet to Pet.. I know of cases where worse has been done.
