DIAMOND, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Crews with West Virginia American Water are out working on a water main break in eastern Kanawha County.

It happened around 7:30am Thursday morning in front of Midland Trail Elementary School.

The water company is out working on the break now, but workers say they won't turn the water off until after school.

A school spokesperson says West Virginia American Water told the school the water is safe.

Classes continued as usual Thursday.
