"State Employee" - Take solace in the fact that other states are this way, too. I am also an indian amongst overpaid chiefs. Solace doesn't fill the gas tank, though.

State Employee, this is what we get for re-electing these kinds of people. They now think they are invincible and can be re-elected just because they all help each other. If the working taxpayers keeps electing these same ones over and over you deserve this and more... Any teacher or state worker should know what these people are?

People think that all state employees make a great deal of money. These two are the exception and they due make a great deal of money. That is whats wrong with the state is it has too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. This Indian would like to make a fraction of their salary, this Indian would be very happy. Some higher ups make more in a month than most state employees make in a year and the Indians also have an earned education. As the old saying goes the rich gets richer and poor gets poorer.

Certainly yet another reason why MIKE GARRISON should leave. No changes with this corruption. My friends laugh at me and my bachelors degrees now. Thank you Mike Garrision and Craig Walker. You both need to leave to make things right and put WVU back to where it deserves to be. All was great at this university until Gov Manchin, Greg Walker and Mike Garrison got involved. DIRTY - and that is all capitol!

It's disconcerting to read that West Virginia's "Good old boy" system is firmly in place even in the larger areas of the state. I would've expected this sort of behavior from Logan County, but not the state's "leading" university.

Well Cry Me a River. That these folks have to survive on mere pittances of their normal salary.

Wow, I wonder what else these guys knows that is worth that kind of cash !! Anyone that isn't in on their games is crazy to spend money or go to this place.

I'm sure they have a lot more to offer, this is WV at it's finest...

I am so glad to read this. These two were just in the set of dominoes that fell. The real guilty party is still in his office. It seems greatly suspicious that this would all happen right after Garrison takes his position, and Garrison is the one with the greatest ties to everyone else involved outside WVU. As a WVU Alumni I knew and still respect Provost Gerald Lang. He was very honest about his mistake but most people will not understand what a loss it will be not having him in his position. I also knew Duane Nellis and greatly suspect none of this would have happened if the President's position would have gone to a harding working respectable man. Maybe he's still available. Good luck Provost Lang.

These gentlemen should not be allowed to return to teaching. They have proven that they have no problem with lying. Whats next? They co-author a book about how not to conduct a cover-up! Would that be considered "research" in the West Virginia educational community? Why not promote them both and give all teachers a raise!
