CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton made several surprise stops in Charleston Tuesday as voters in West Virginia headed to the polls.

We're told the Senator stopped by Ellen's Ice Cream on Capitol Street and Capitol Market on Smith Street. Shoppers were quite surprised when Clinton stopped to talk with them.

We had a chance to speak to Senator Clinton about the Presidential Race just hours before the polls closed. She says she's not afraid of losing the race, but she's confident West Virginians believe in the solutions she has been talking about for months.

She also pointed out again that a democrat has not won the White House since 1916 without winning West Virginia.

Clinton also says it doesn't matter how big she wins in West Virginia because a win is a win to her campaign. She says she plans to continue the fight for the nomination, despite some political pundits who are calling for her to drop out of the race.

According to several polls, Clinton is expected to win West Virginia by a large margin.

Please elaborate on how what makes you believe that the Republicans, Bush, or any other American is responsible for the prices of oil per barrel. If this price continues to grow, so will the price of gasoline, no matter who is in office. On the other hand, if not for the Democrats and the liberal way of thinking, we would be drilling our OWN oil, using coal as a partial energy substitue, and be powering our country with the cleanest source of energy known-nuclear. But No! The Spotted Owl might have to move, or the Polar Bear, now that it is endangered even though there are 5 times more of them now as in 1970, may feel the effects in "45 years." You can't have it both ways. You can't gripe about high gas prices, but ignore our own resources because we're too "green" to do such things.

Judy, this was what the founding fathers decided at the Constitutional Convention. It put the power to decide the President in the hands of the state, not the individual. A result of the Electoral College is that is requires widespread popular support to win. If the vote was just based on majority you can bet that no candidate would have visited West Virginia. They would have focused their attention on the more populous states like New York and California. In that case, the election would have been over long ago. In a tight election like this year the Electoral College allows meaningful participation by all states. The U.S. was founded as a constitutional federal republic and not as a democracy as some would have you believe.

I just don't understand why the country needs delegates and superdelagates to do the voting for us. The citizens of West Virginia made their wishes known as to whom they want to be president. Why can't their votes be counted instead of the electoral college? I know this procedure for voting for president is a nationwide policy but I don't think it is fair. Will someone please explain it to me? Thank you.

TO HARV: IF YOU WANT GAS TO GO ON UP TO $10.00 OR MORE A GALLON, GO AHEAD AND VOTE OLD JOHN MCCAIN IN THE WHITE HOUSE BECAUSE THEN YOU WILL BE BEGGING FOR A WAY TO WORK AND FOOD ON YOUR TABLE. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF GEORGE BUSH, WE NEED A DEMOCRAT IN THE WHITE HOUSE. I DON'T CARE IF IF IS A WOMAN JUST AS LONG AS HE/SHE GETS THE JOB DONE AND GETS THE GAS PRICES DOWN.

As long as she's paying for it or her supporters are dumb enough to pay for it I guess she has the right to. It will only hurt the democrats in the fall since Hillary can't win and she's only delaying the inevitable.
