HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Someone tried to steal a heating and air conditioning unit from a business in the 2800 block of Park Avenue. Huntington Police think the thief was after copper.
They said there was severe damage to the unit and the copper lines were cut.
The unit was beyond repair.
Two laptop computers were taken from an unlocked residence May 13th. Huntington Police say two people in the 1800 block of 6th Avenue told them that a HP Pavillion and an Apple iBook were stolen. Police said the residence was unlocked because of the condition of the locks and door.
When the crime was reported the front and the back door were found open.
