CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say they were responding to a call concerning a fight when a man stabbed a cruiser with a knife.

The incident happened Thursday night along Kelley's Creek Road in Kanawha County.

According to the criminal complaint, Michael Paul McCune stabbed the left front fender and then took off running. The deputy later caught up with him.

No one was hurt, but we're told the cruiser was scratched and dented.

McCune is now charged with fleeing and destruction of property.

He might have thought the cruiser could move by itself and talk like in the movie "Cars." Bet he wouldn't do that with Ole Mater. He'd Git R Done.

I AGREE WITH EVERYONE ON HERE CRIMINALS HAVE BECOME ALOT MORE DUMBER THESE DAYS. I WONDER WHY HE DIDN'T GET PATTED DOWN AND PUT IN HAND CUFFS OR IN THE CRUISER UNTIL EVERYTHING WAS CHECKED OUT. THANK GOD IT WASN'T A COP STABBED. I WONDER WHY WEST VIRGINIA ISN'T ON ANYMORE COP SHOWS ANYMORE. tHEY NEED TO DO A SEGMENT JUST ON OUR STATE. WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNY IS IF THE COP CAR WOULD HAVE STABBED HIM BACK.

Stabbing a police cruiser? He must have rotted his brain out from doing too much meth or crack. Another reason not to do drugs. I think he should be nominated for "Stupid Criminal of the Month" award.

I am glad to hear that the cruiser is recovering and will pull through. Now they need to put knife fight insurance in the auto insurance plan.
