PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ)--The Scioto County Sheriff says a fugitive from West Portsmouth has been caught in Grayson Kentucky.
The sheriff says 32-year old Jeffery Carver has arrested late Thursday night.
He has Carver has eluded officers for about 5 weeks. Carver was wanted on Burglary charges, B&E charges, Felony Probation charges, Escape charges, and Sexual Offender charges; along with numerous pending charges that are forthcoming from cases in the West Portsmouth, Ohio area.
According to a press release, detectives received information that Carver had changed his identity and was living and working in the Grayson, Kentucky area.
Based with this information and cell phone records Detectives were able to trace Carver to an area convenient store in Grayson, Kentucky.
Carver was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to the Carter County Jail pending extradition back to Ohio.
