CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston native Jennifer Garner is coming back home to help a good cause.
The announcement was made during a press conference Wednesday morning at the University of Charleston.
We're told Garner will take part in a fundraiser at the university on September 19th.
This event will also be a tribute to Mario and Louise Palumbo. A university spokesperson says the school will name its new athletic complex in memory of the couple. Both Palumbos are alumni of the university.
An invitation-only sponsors reception with the honorary hosts will begin at 6:00pm. The events begins at 7:30pm
Several ticket packages are available. The university is currently seeking sponsors for the event ranging from $5,000 to a table sponsor to $100,000 for the title sponsor.
Individual tickets will go on sale for $250 each on July 1.
The fundraiser is called "Starry Starry Night: An Evening Under the Stars."
A university spokesperson says Garner's husband Ben Affleck might also be at the fundraiser.
All the proceeds will help fund the university's new athletic complex.

I agree with Hope, Jennifer represents WV very well.
The only reason people around here even care about her is because she's a native, she's not even that talented.
I just love Jennifer Garner. She always speaks well of WV, comes home for vistis and attends Power baseball games. What a great representative for the state.
