ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters have contained a house fire in Ashland.

The fire at 925 Ashland Avenue was reported shortly before 3pm.

We’re told the 2-story house had been converted into 4 apartments.

People were living in 2 of the apartments. We're told no one was home when the fire started.

Neighbors say they first spotted smoke coming from an upstairs apartment.

The house suffered heavy fire and smoke damage.

There are no reports of injuries.

Hey community lets come together. We have a family in need of clothing from the house fire today in Ashland...If anyone has any clothing that they do not need or want to get rid of. We are in desperate need of sizes 24mths for a boy, 2T for a girl, 14-16 for a young girl, and size 5's in womens. They could also use socks, shoes, underwear, or anything you could donate, for they have lost everything due to this fire...Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Any donated items can be taken to Applebee's in Ashland. Or you can leave me a message here and we can arrange a time for somone to pick them up...Thank you for your help...

I hope no one got hurt and everyone came away safe. But the guys on the Ashland Fire Department are the greatest. These guy do their job while remaining the cutist things around. If I was 30 years younger I would just love to cuddle up with one of them.
